Has there been official engagement with the Center for American Progress yet? Given Alan Rosenblatt's interest expressed in his Huffington Post piece (here for anyone yet to read it: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alan-rosenblatt/citabilityorg-offers-a-si_b_249641.html) there seems to be a certain amount of coordination. I've also seen some preliminary interest when I relayed his article to Campus Progress (CAP's student arm), and as a CP Representative I'm already planning on bringing this further up the ladder to investigate whether a more formal relationship could be achieved.

In general, I'd be happy to lend my experience and help engage activists of all sorts on this important project---whether they be on the ground or online. Speaking of which, my close relationship with the founders of the #P2 community could also be quite helpful here, as the "progressive umbrellatag" could be another very useful avenue for extending the community as well.

I'd love to talk more about this through the wiki, email at hwaisbren@gmail.com, via Twitter at @HarryWaisbren, or phone if it's prudent!

nothing formal yet but would love to pursue... perhaps we should start a membership committee?

A membership committee of some kind seems like a good idea. Could be a good conduit to extend outreach.

I'd definitely like to take part in the effort at the least and am looking forward to hearing more about what you and the board believe it should entail!
